Earthwork/Utility Positions

Water/Sewer Foreman

Foremen lead their crews to successful project completion. Foremen are responsible for maintaining production in the field and communication between other contractors/engineers on-site, and the Project Manager's in the office. A great foreman will be able to read the plans and form a timeline of how project tasks will be completed.

  • Five (5) years pipe crew experience required;

  • Previous Foreman experience strongly preferred;

  • Must be comfortable with computers and other technology;

  • Must have experience reading and interpreting plans.

Pipelayers are vital to the success of an underground utility crew. They are the ones in the trenches ensuring that water and sewer mains and services are correctly installed, and allow local communities to continue receiving uninterrupted utility services.

  • Two or more years previous pipelayer experience strongly preferred

Production/Dig Operator

Main diggers on a pipe crew are the ones who really get the project moving forward. Dig operators work closely with the Pipelayer and set the pace of the crew. When the digger and Pipelayer mesh, a great amount of safe production can be achieved.

  • Two or more years previous excavator production experience strongly preferred;

  • Must be comfortable digging around existing utilities and other workers.

Backfill Operator

Backfill operators provide a large contribution to the finished product of an utility excavation site. They are responsible for following behind the crew in excavators, dozers, and roller/compactors. With a skilled backfill operator, our utility sites will continue to look great for years to come!

  • Two or more years previous backfill experience strongly preferred

Drivers keep our jobs moving - literally! Without experienced drivers in our trucks, our jobs would never make any progress. We rely on our Teamsters to keep the crews stocked with the proper materials and supplies at all times.

  • One or more years of dirt hauling experience preferred

  • Must have a Class A license with airbrake endorsement and no automatic restriction

  • Must be able to pass a FMCSA drug and alcohol screening at any time including pre-employment

  • Must have a clear FMCSA Clearinghouse history
